Dirhodium Tetra(dimethylphosphinate): Rhodium(II) carboxylates are the catalysts of choice for metal-stabilized carbene reactions. Recent work in the Capretta lab has allowed for the replacement of the carboxylate ligands with isoelectronic phosphinates. Pictured is a dirhodium catalyst containing four dimethylphosphinic acid ligands. 2,3,4,9-Tetrahydrocarbazol-1-one: for more information on this structure see Tetrahedron. 2000, 56, 8063-8069 or click here. 2-(4-Methylcyclohexyl)propylphosphonic acid (ammonium salt): for more information on this structure see Tetrahedron Letters. 2001, 42, 2609 or click here.
