Research Interests

I. Inorganic/Organometallic/Coordination Chemistry:
Organometallic mass spectrometry. Fast Atom Bombardment (FAB) mass spectrometry applied to inorganic and bioinorganic problems. NMR studies. Supported catalysts. Sol-gel synthesis of aluminosilicate supports. MS, NMR & FT-IR spectroscopic studies.

II. Analytical Chemstry:
Analytical Mass Spectrometry, GC/mass spec , LC/mass spec, and NMR.

III. Organic Chemistry - Synthesis and Spectroscopy:
Study of supported reagents and strong hydrogen bonds between fluoride ions and materials capable of accepting electron density, involving use of NMR and IR spectra, FAB MS, etc. The organic synthetic utility of the strong hydrogen bond is also being studied.
